Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Austral Tone ("we", "us", "our") — a brand operated by Matías Novelle, an individual based in Argentina — collects, uses, and protects your personal data in connection with our audio plugins and the website australtone.com.
Who processes your payments
Our products are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you buy from us, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment and billing information under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
What we collect
- Purchase information — your name, email address, and order reference, provided to us by Lemon Squeezy after a completed purchase. We use it to deliver your license key and provide support.
- Email sign-ups — if you subscribe on our website (or download a free product), we collect your email address to send you product news and updates.
- Support correspondence — if you contact us, we keep your message and contact details to respond and keep a record of the issue.
- Basic technical data — standard server and security logs from our hosting provider (e.g., IP address, browser type) used to keep the site secure and running.
How your license works
License keys are generated and verified using offline cryptographic signatures. The plugin validates your key locally on your computer — it does not phone home, and we do not track plugin usage, your projects, or your audio.
Cookies and analytics
We use two analytics tools, and they work differently:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — always on. It measures page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors, so it needs no consent.
- Google Analytics — only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner. It stores the cookies _ga (up to 2 years) and _gid (24 hours) on your device to distinguish returning visitors. IP anonymization is enabled.
Google Analytics is blocked until you accept — nothing is loaded or stored beforehand. If you reject, we delete any Google Analytics cookies already on your device. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every visit. This is not a cookie and is not shared with anyone.
Embedded video
Our product pages include a demo video hosted on YouTube. The video is not loaded until you click play — until then, no YouTube scripts or cookies are active. We use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which limits tracking. Once you play the video, Google's own privacy policy applies to that playback.
How we use your data
We use your data only to deliver your license, provide support, send updates you opted into, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers below.
Service providers
- Lemon Squeezy — sales, payments, invoicing (Merchant of Record).
- Cloudflare — website hosting and the license-delivery service.
- Zoho — email (Zoho Mail / ZeptoMail) and our mailing list (Zoho Campaigns).
- Google — Google Analytics (only with your consent) and YouTube video hosting.
Marketing emails
If you sign up for our list, we may email you about new plugins, releases, and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Transactional emails (such as your license key or a purchase confirmation) are not marketing and are sent as part of your order.
Data retention
We retain purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide support and to comply with legal and tax requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@australtone.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
